Our Story

Where experience

Virtus Resources Partners AG was incorporated in Zug in 2023 by professionals who had spent careers at the sharp end of global commodity markets, at major independents, at producers and at trading desks around the world. They built VRP with a clear idea of what a modern trading house should look like: lean enough to move quickly, experienced enough to be trusted, and rigorous enough that it never has to apologise for how it operates.

The commodity world is navigating genuine complexity, geopolitical realignment, the energy transition, shifting trade flows and an increasingly demanding regulatory environment. The firms that navigate it best are not the largest, but the most agile and the most credible. At VRP, sound market judgement and solid operational process go hand in hand, because one without the other is not enough.

The VRP team is deliberately diverse. Trading experience from top-tier independent commodity houses sits alongside backgrounds in investment banking, structured trade finance, corporate law, shipping, logistics and energy infrastructure. We built the team this way because the best transactions are not won at the trading desk alone. They are won across the full chain of people who understand origination, structuring, execution and settlement in equal measure.

What binds the team is a shared way of working: collegiate, direct and focused on getting things done properly. We back each other's judgement, move fast when speed matters and hold a consistent standard across everything we do. That consistency is what counterparties and partners experience when they work with us.
